We are looking for a special person to sponsor our beautiful Louise. Because of her difficult past, it is extremely hard for her to fully settle into a new home. We believe she simply deserves peace, stability, and love — and your support can help make that possible.
Louise’s story is heartbreaking. We found her near our home, chained up with 8 very small and underweight puppies. After some investigation, we learned that her owner was in the hospital with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Louise was so severely dehydrated that her kidneys were on the verge of failing. After a conversation with the owner’s wife, we were able to take in all 9 dogs — and thankfully, they all survived. All the puppies have since found loving homes. Now, it is Louise’s time to finally rest and be cared for.
Louise is incredibly sweet, sensitive, and affectionate. She has the funniest bark and adores cuddles — once she trusts you. However, she needs time. Due to her traumatic past, she is very wary of new people, keeps her distance initially, and may bark out of fear. She also has a strong hunting instinct and can climb fences, which makes rehoming her very challenging.
BUT — if you give her the time she needs, she will reward you with lifelong loyalty.
Since she struggles to adapt to new environments, we believe the best option for Louise is to stay in the safe and loving care she currently has — supported by a kind sponsor who will help cover her ongoing needs.
