He is active, playful and full of energy and is looking for people who enjoy learning and growing together with him while giving him the guidance and structure he needs. Benji absolutely loves water and toys and is always excited to take part in activities with his humans. At the same time, he still finds it difficult to settle down and relax. In new situations or around other dogs, he can sometimes feel insecure. When overwhelmed, he may show displacement behaviours as a way of coping with his excitement and emotions. He is also still learning to control and coordinate his own body – something that is quite typical for a young dog who is still developing physically and emotionally. One of Benji’s greatest strengths is that he orients himself very well towards people. He is attentive, eager to learn and already listens well. He loves being close to his humans, is loyal and genuinely wants to please. With patient, loving and consistent guidance, he will certainly continue to make great progress. One important issue to be aware of is food guarding. Benji currently guards his food, so he needs responsible handling and people who are willing to work on this calmly and positively.
