He was originally meant to find an adoptive home, but medical examinations revealed that he suffers from severe hip dysplasia that cannot be operated on. Because of his condition, Barneby moved to us at Grove of the Voiceless, where he will stay for good and is no longer looking for adoption. Barneby is around 3 years old and weighs about 35 kg — and he fills every single one of those kilos with personality. He is an energetic, strong-willed dog who likes to take charge and can be quite bossy at times. Barneby knows what he wants and is not shy about expressing his opinion. At the same time, he is incredibly affectionate and emotionally attached to the people he trusts. Behind his bold attitude is a dog who seeks closeness, reassurance and love. He thrives on attention, routines and familiar faces, and is deeply bonded to those who care for him. Barneby’s medical condition requires ongoing management, pain control and a lifestyle adapted to his needs, which we are committed to providing for him for the rest of his life.
